Integratron and Our Camping Extravaganza at Joshua Tree

Wow what a Friday it was! Not knowing what to expect I was so excited for the Integratron and all that was going to happen there. When we first arrived, seeing the grounds was so cool! I loved getting to hang out in the hammocks while we waited for our turn. Getting to hear the history of the Integratron was so interesting and can't believe how it was built! During the playing of the bowls I could't believe how the sound could travel around the room the way it did. I was in and out of sleep but when I was awake I opened my eyes and sware I was seeing colors. CRAZY. Well I hope to go back one day and do it again!

Part 2 of our day was the camping/astrophotography at Joshua Tree. We tried to get there as fast as we could so that we would be able to set up our campsite before sunset. We made it just in time and found a great site that Sophia showed us! Once it got dark we started light painting and doing some astrophotography! It was great but then it started to thunder storm but it was in the far distance and we didn't think it would come closer. We all went to bed at 11pm to then wake up at 12am to a loud downpour followed by thunder above us. Soon the ground became a stream and almost all the tents were having water get in.

Finally at 1:30am the rain stopped and we decided to call it and hiked back to the cars with all our wet tents and clothes. That night will be something we will never forget haha
